What's new: Ideas, scheduling a draft you already have, and more for Claude and ChatGPT
A short one this time. You get a place to write before you've picked a network, two quicker ways to schedule, and a connector for Claude and ChatGPT that can do more.
Ideas: write first, pick the network later
Your brand's sidebar has a new page, Ideas. An idea is text, with images if you want them, that belongs to no network yet. It needs no account and no image, so you can write something down the moment you think of it. Click New Idea, write, and save.
When you know where it goes, click New Post on the idea. New Post opens with the idea's title, text and images already filled in, and you choose the accounts there. One idea can become several posts. Each post is a copy, checked against its network's rules when you make it, so editing the idea later doesn't change posts you already made.
An idea's page shows the posts made from it under Used in, and each of those posts shows a From idea link back. Deleting an idea keeps its posts. An image used by an idea can't be deleted from your Library until you take it off the idea.
Schedule a draft you already have, from New Post
In New Post, with one account selected, there's now a Use an existing draft button. It lists that account's posts that are waiting for a time. Pick one and you see the post with the account's next posting times. Choose a time and click Schedule. Back returns you to what you were writing, untouched.
Before, you had to leave New Post and find the draft in List or on the calendar. If your brand requires approval, only approved posts are listed.
Your posting times, wherever you set a planned date
Set planned date now shows the account's Next posting times as buttons, with the picked day's posting times alongside. The date control on a draft's page shows the next times too. Click one and the date and time are filled in. Before, these buttons only appeared in New Post and the Schedule dialog. You'll see them for accounts that have posting times set up.
More for Claude and ChatGPT
- It can see your plan. Your assistant can now list what's planned, scheduled, sent or failed for a brand or one account, for any dates you ask about. Ask "what's going out this week?" and it checks before it schedules something on top of another post.
- It works with Ideas. Ask it to save an idea when you haven't chosen a network or don't have an image yet. It can list your ideas, open one, edit it, delete it, and turn it into posts.
- ChatGPT stays connected. ChatGPT used to say the connection had expired about an hour after you connected. It now stays connected until you revoke it. If yours already shows as expired, connect it once more.
- Easier setup. Under Account → Security → Connected Apps, there's a button to copy the connector address, and Watch how to connect plays a short setup video right on the page.
Analytics: one Views chart instead of two
On Analytics → Trends, the separate Reach Trend and Views Trend charts are now one Views Trend with a line per network. Each line uses the number that network actually reports: views on Instagram, Threads and TikTok, impressions on LinkedIn and Pinterest. The chart says which networks count impressions. Before, a network that didn't report a metric drew a flat line at zero.
