What's new: posting times for every account, Schedule Rules in Workflows, and your posting streak
Here's what changed since the last update. Two pages have also moved. If you use Schedule Rules, read the second section.
Posting times for each account
Open an account from Accounts and you'll find a new Posting times card. Add the times that account usually posts at, in your brand's time zone.
When you schedule a draft, that account's next posting times now appear as buttons. One click schedules it, and any other time is still under Custom time. In New Post with a single account selected, the same buttons fill in the date and time for you.
A time already used by another post on that account is marked Taken rather than hidden, so you can tell a busy slot from a missing one. Owners and admins set the times, and everyone on the brand can see them.
Settings is gone: Accounts and Schedule Rules have moved
The brand's Settings item is no longer in the sidebar. Its two pages have moved:
- Accounts is now its own item in the sidebar.
- Schedule Rules is a tab in Workflows, next to All Workflows, alongside the workflows that use them.
The last update sent you to Settings → Schedules. That's now Workflows → Schedule Rules. Bookmarks to the old Settings pages no longer open, so update them.
We also fixed a rule's Start Date and End Date. They're now shown and saved in the rule's own time zone. Before, if you were in a different time zone from the rule, they could land on the wrong day.
Your posting streak
Your brand's Overview and each account's page now have a Posting activity section. It shows the last twelve months as a grid of days, filled in wherever something was published, with your current Day streak beside it.
Posts you published directly on the network count too, and are marked separately. A day you haven't posted on yet doesn't break your streak until the day is over.
A simpler New Post, and topic tags for Threads
The Text, Image and Carousel buttons that did nothing when you clicked them are gone. What you attach decides the format: one image makes a single post, and two or more make a carousel. Instagram keeps its Post · Story choice, because that one is a real choice.
Threads no longer has a Post/Thread switch. Write your post, and to turn it into a thread, click Add item and write the reply. Empty replies are ignored, so the post goes out on its own.
Threads posts can now carry a Topic tag, the topic Threads shows on the post. Set it in New Post, or when you edit a draft or a scheduled post. It can be up to 50 characters, with no periods or ampersands. If you start it with #, the # is removed for you.
Content Plan's List works on a phone
Cards in Content Plan → List now fit a phone screen and leave room for the post itself. Every action is in the ⋯ menu with its name beside it, instead of a row of unlabelled icons.
A published post shows only the numbers its network actually reports, so a Threads post no longer shows "Reach 0" forever. A post that has just gone out says Analytics syncing… instead of showing a row of zeros.
Error messages that say what's wrong
When a form won't accept what you entered, it now names the field and the limit ("Description is 612 characters — the limit is 500.") instead of saying "Invalid input".
Smaller fixes
- Clicking the day that's already selected in a date picker keeps it selected. Before, it cleared the day and disabled Schedule.
- Dragging a post from the Ready panel onto the calendar can no longer drop it on a day hidden behind the panel.
- The Edit and Schedule dialogs on a post's page no longer reset what you've typed while they're open.
- If logging out fails, for example because your connection dropped, you're told you're still signed in instead of nothing happening.
- On a phone, media tiles in New Post no longer overlap, and scrolling past them no longer pops open their details. The Analytics charts no longer push the page sideways.
